You may not follow Formula 1, however yesterday’s Chinese F1 Grand Prix produced a result out of the blue because of employee engagement, plus some luck.

Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo won the Chinese Grand prix from 6th place on the starting grid after an engine failure on Saturday. It was a “Herculean effort” by the team said Christian Horner, Red Bull Team Principal “The effort that went in yesterday to change that engine in two hours was an hour quicker than we’ve ever achieved it. It’s easy to forget that Formula 1 is a team sport, there’s over 700 members in our team (at Milton Keynes) and I think what we’ve demonstrated this weekend is that it all has to work in unison.
