Procrastination is the Thief of Time! Version 2016

Procrastination

Well it actually started well before December this year, with the excuse that Brexit is causing uncertainty and in uncertain times ‘we’ll put off for today what we can until tomorrow’. However as we know ‘tomorrow never comes’ and in uncertain times there are opportunities to act while your competitors procrastinate.

After yesterdays overwhelming vote by MP’s to trigger Article 50 by the end of March 2017 we now have a time frame to take action and move our businesses forward, or at least those of us who can see further than today. So why wait? Change is always with us and we must constantly review how the poltical and economic scenery at any particular time can have a positive or negative affect on our businesses – today will never be the same as yesterday and tomorrow will never be the same as today.

In business ‘Time’ is one of our most valuable resources yet the excuse of Christmas, school holidays or any other Bank Holiday seems to be the excuse to put off until tomorrow what you could do today. What a waste! If a decision that could be made and actioned today is put off until January 3rd it has just been delayed for nearly 6 weeks or in other words nearly 12% of the year. If that decision could benefit the business why delay making it?

Procrastination is the thief of time – don’t let it happen to you. Contact me in December for a half day, face to face, coaching session to understand your objectives and aspirations, take a realistic, no nonsense look at where your business is today, and how you can achieve your success.

Make December your best ever month for taking action, especially with planning for 2017 to make it your best year ever.
